Data Protection Complaints Procedure

If you believe the Tactile Framework app (operated by TeZe Ltd) has mishandled your personal data, or has breached UK data protection law in connection with your personal data, you have the right to complain.

This procedure is maintained under Section 164A of the Data Protection Act 2018, as inserted by Section 103 of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.

If your complaint is about a learner’s records, the organisation whose practitioner keeps those records is usually the data controller, and it is normally quicker to complain to them first. We will still take your complaint, and we will tell you if we think another organisation is the right place for it.

Please include your name, a description of the issue, and any relevant dates.

1. Acknowledgement. We acknowledge your complaint within 30 days of receiving it, with a reference number if you give us a return address.
2. Investigation. We investigate without undue delay: the processing activity, our records, and whether a breach occurred.
3. Outcome. We tell you the outcome in plain language, including what we have done or intend to do. If we need longer, we say why and give you a timeframe.
4. Remedial action. If we have breached data protection law, we take appropriate steps to put it right.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at any time, whether or not you have complained to us first, though the ICO asks that you try the organisation first:
